Mary Frances Trust expands its services
Mary Frances Trust has been awarded a new contract from 1 April 2017 to provide Community Connections services in the Surrey Downs area.
Mary Frances Trust has been delivering Community Connections services throughout Epsom, Ewell and Mole Valley for the past four years, and from April 2017 we will service the whole of the Surrey Downs CCG area including Banstead and Elmbridge (working closely with Wellness with a Goal).
Patrick Wolter, CEO of Mary Frances Trust said: “One in four people experience some kind of mental health problem in the course of a year. Our goal is to work with local people who are experiencing any kind of emotional or mental distress to help them get on with their lives again.
“Community Connections is widely recognised as an integral part of mental health pathway in Surrey and, in the current climate of cuts and austerities, Community Connections lead providers were able to prove that a service which provides high quality and value for money is possible.
“We are particularly proud that we have been able to support people across Surrey and that the level of satisfaction amongst people who use our services is continuously high. Through this new contract, we are delighted to be able to support even more local people”.
Community Connections services are non-medical, which means that no diagnosis or referral is needed for anyone interested in receiving support for emotional wellbeing, although GP referrals and referrals from Mental Health professionals are also accepted.
People who would like to receive a high quality and non-judgemental, free (or very low cost) service can contact their local providers directly. The ethos and values, shared by all providers, mean that service concentrates on people’s strengths rather than just their illness and helps them achieve their own goals and full potential.
