If you prefer to manage your mental wellbeing on your own, there are many apps and online tools that you can use.

Sleep and Insomnia Support

HowToSleep is a UK-based website that promotes healthy sleep and provides tips on how to manage one’s sleep problems such as insomnia.

Learning Disability and Autism Hub

The Surrey County Council learning disability and autism hub provides a range of information for people with a learning disability, autistic people, carers, and professionals in a variety of formats including easy read and video. LGBTQ+ Support Groups

LGBTQ+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer, plus anyone questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity. We have a monthly LGBTQ+ mental health peer support group we run with Pride in Surrey but there are many more available in Surrey and nationwide.

LGBTQ+ Support for Young People

If you identify as LGBTQ+ and are too young to qualify for adult services, there is a lot of support in Surrey specifically for young LGBTQ+ adults.

Megan

Delivery and Strategy Lead: Co-Production and Community Engagement (Leatherhead)

Megan joined MFT in January 2025 and looks after the development of our strategic priority for MFT to live and breathe co-production. She also facilitates our Advisory Group, and champions those with lived experience of mental health challenges to improve the way mental health support is developed, reviewed, and delivered.

Megan first learnt about co-production as a Lived Experience Advisor with the Independent Mental Health Network based at Surrey Coalition of Disabled People, contributing her own lived experience to mental health projects in Surrey and North East Hampshire after graduating university.

She has since worked on a range of development projects for Surrey’s mental health and wellbeing support, immersing community engagement and lived experience into research and decision-making. Additionally, she is an alumna for The King’s Fund after completing their Advanced Organisational Development Practitioner programme.

To maintain her wellbeing, Megan is an avid reader, journals, and practices Yoga.
