Every May, the Mental Health Foundation runs Mental Health Awareness Week to raise awareness of one aspect of mental wellbeing. This year’s theme is ‘movement: moving more for our mental health’, with the week running from 13 to 19 May 2024.
We’re joining the movement (pun intended!) and offering lots of physical health activities to our clients this May to help you to explore what kind of movement works for you. Even if you think you are not “the sporty type”, we encourage you to try one (or more) of our classes just for fun and hopefully form a new healthy habit!
Here’s what on offer (click on course name to download poster with more info):
Thursday 2 May
Monday 13 May
Tuesday 14 May
Wednesday 15 May
Thursday 16 May
Friday 17 May
To attend any of our activities, you need to register as a client of MFT first by filling in our Online Registration Form. Once you are a registered client, you can book your place on any of our activities by contacting our office at info@maryfrancestrust.org.uk, on 01372 375 400 or texting 07929 024 722.
To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, on Tuesday 14 May, we’re holding an Open Afternoon from 1.30pm-3pm in the garden of our Brickfield Centre, Portland Place, Epsom KT17 1DL to showcase all the free support we offer to local residents. There will also be tea, coffee and cake.
You’ll be able to meet the team, see the venue and find out about:
We’ll also share on social media tips on how to add more movement to your day and a blog from our colleague Carlota on what happens in your brain when you exercise and which type of exercise has the most wellbeing benefits!
Make sure you follow us so you don’t miss out!
