Chris Andrews is our Creative Writing tutor in Elmbridge. He set himself the challenge to write a poem on the current situation in five minutes.

Coronavirus shouldn’t get you if you stay indoors.
Go on do those chores.
It’s time to get the hover out
And move it all about.
Spring clean like never before.
Don’t go out, stay on the right side of the law.
Ring all your friends in the telephone book.
You will be surprised how many you have, take a look.
Follow Joe Wicks exercises on the internet.
Skype friends and family but don’t kiss your pet.
Get out that mindful meditation CD
Or learn to play a new musical instrument like me.
You could play computer games 24/7
But don’t start drinking or you might not go to heaven.
Clap out the window at 8pm,
Say thanks and pray for the health workers amen.
