Make MFT your Charity of the Year
Why not join our current supporters who have made MFT their charity of choice to fundraise for!
We are delighted to have been chosen to be the Charity of the Year for two local and prestigious golf clubs. Ladies’ Captain, Pamela Dearden at Epsom Golf Club and Men’s Captain, Mike Jones, at Reigate Heath Golf Club are busy raising funds for MFT throughout their captaincy for 2023/2024. Each year a charity is chosen by the respective captains at each club – fundraising is done both on the golf course and in the clubhouse. We will keep you posted as to how they get on!
We are also thrilled that local women’s networking group, Tangent, have chosen MFT to be their Charity of the Year. They started raising funds for us in April 2023, and will carry on supporting us via their fundraising until the end of March next year. Co-Chairs Kay Briggs and Sue Weeks both agreed that MFT was a truly worthy charity to raise funds for.
Local accountancy firm Menzies LLP has chosen MFT to be their charity of the year. MFT will be speaking at their fundraising quiz night this summer, and five of the Menzies staff have taken part in The Big Half in September 2023 (a half marathon in London).
If you’ve been to the Leatherhead Leisure Centre recently, you may have seen and even visited the new café there. Run by Lavender Catering, Melanie and her team are ensuring that MFT clients are treated to discounted hot drinks and a warm welcome and cheery chat. They will be fundraising for MFT over the next year, and spreading the word about the amazing work we do. Do go and say hello next time you are visiting the leisure centre!
If you’d like to choose MFT to be your charity of the year, please just contact Biba, our Fundraising Officer, at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07877 846392. We can support you with your fundraising, and we’d also love the opportunity to come and speak to your members about how we have grown since 1994, how we support our community and tell you about some of our truly wonderful success stories.
