On Time to Talk Day (6 February 2020), we’re finally launching our new brand and website!
Those of you who came to our AGM on 21 September at Denbies will have been given a sneaky preview of our new logo! Indeed, after 25 years of pretty much constant change in the organisation, we thought it was time to refresh our brand and make it look a bit more modern while still reflecting our core values!
So after a wide consultation where we involved our staff, volunteers, Trustees, Advisory Group, as well as people using our services we agreed that a logo refresh was needed as well as adding a strapline (ie. a slogan) to explain what we’re about and what we stand for.
After a few months of working in collaboration with a design agency, we all enthusiastically agreed on the logo design (see pictures above). If you look closely at the M, it is in fact two people holding hands which represents “support” – the essence of what we do! The logo can be put against a blue, pink or white background which gives us a bit of flexibility and feels quite nice and modern.
The strapline took longer to define – as it turns out summarising what we stand for in three words is much harder than you’d think! Eventually, we settled on “Inspiring Mental Wellbeing”. We chose the term “Inspiring” as it is positive, aspirational and suggests that we’re here at the start of people’s journey. We’re here to inspire and empower people to find what helps keep them well. We also chose the phrase “Mental Wellbeing” as it encompasses both the mental health and emotional wellbeing aspects of what we do.
At our anniversary event, we distributed badges with our new logo as a way to help everyone familiarise themselves with it, ahead of its launch. If you haven’t got one already, you’ll be able to grab yourself one at our main office reception in the next few weeks on a first come, first served basis. So hurry!
