Hi everyone,
Another year has gone by and here comes the time to evaluate what has happened, but also to look into the future.
I am extremely proud of every single member of our team and everything we managed to achieve.
It hasn’t been a year of massive growth for a change, but one where we focused mostly on building upon what we do so well.
We also had the opportunity and time to develop our new strategy, which will guide our work in the next three years. In the current dynamic and uncertain landscape, it is crucial to reset our goals and prepare for what the future will bring whilst, at the same time, remaining faithful to our vision and mission.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone and express my gratitude for sticking with us and helping us successfully go through yet another year of supporting thousands of Surrey residents with their wellbeing.
First of all, my fabulous staff team, for never losing their dedication and passion. No role is more or less important than another – from frontline staff to those working quietly behind the scenes – you all make MFT.
Our Trustees, who tirelessly and voluntarily share their time and enormous knowledge to make sure our organisation fulfils its role in helping people.
Our group of devoted volunteers, including the Advisory Group, for supporting us in so many ways and contributing their invaluable experience so we can keep moving in the right direction.
Our partners, donors, and supporters, without whom we would not be where we are today.
And finally, people who put their trust in us, allowing us to support them and guide them through finding and maintaining their mental and emotional wellbeing.
THANK YOU
Next year, our charity will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. 30 years since two incredible women, Mary and Frances, came together to found our Trust. Watch this space for news on how you can join in our anniversary celebrations.
The festive season we are approaching can be beautiful and also bring some intense and difficult feelings. Let’s make sure we focus on what is truly important and leave out the rest. You’ll find some helpful advice in our December 2023 newsletter from our Safe Haven team about how we can look after ourselves during the holiday.
I would like to wish you all happy, peaceful and lovely celebrations and all the success (whatever it may look like for each of us) in the New Year.
Patrick Wolter, CEO, Mary Frances Trust
