Hello everyone,
Today’s activity is really quick and easy! I have made these really cute pictures using my finger prints. You can do this with paint or an ink pad if you have one or you can just use felt tip pens like me. Make sure they are not permanent ink though or you will be stuck with coloured fingers for a while!
You will need:
I was using pens so the first thing I did was to colour in my finger and then print it on the page.
To make the birds, I made a row using several different colours. I added fresh colour for each print and put a different colour on each of my fingers and thumb.
Now you can add in all the black details. If you have used paint for the finger prints then remember to let the paint dry first.
Next wash your hands. If you have used washable pens then it should come off with some soap and water. For some reason the green on my thumb was a bit more stubborn and a little bit remained there for the rest of the afternoon!
So that’s it! Very simple but they look really effective. I created some insects and some monsters too, but you can let your imagination run wild and come up with your own ideas.
I also think these would work really well on a handmade greetings card or handmade wrapping paper which might come in handy during lockdown.
As always I would love to see any of your creations. Please get in touch with comments, suggestions and photos via my social media on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter as: The Crafty Hare UK (@thecraftyhareuk) or you can post a reply on the MFT social media posts!
Thanks for reading and I will “see” you next week!
Beccy
