For World Mental Health Day and as part of our Men’s Wellbeing Matters campaign, MFT Supporter Sefik created a video blog (vlog) for us. He shares how your mental health recovery journey always starts by opening up, letting people in to how you’re feeling and having the courage to ask for help. He also encourages all of us to start conversations with loved ones who are showing signs that they might be struggling.
Sefik is an empowerment coach with lived experience of mental health issues. He is the survivor of two suicide attempts and has suffered depression and anxiety, he is also a mental health speaker and author. You can read up about his journey on the blog he wrote for us for World Suicide Prevention Day. He was also a guest on our September 2021 radio show, The Wellbeing Hour, where he shared his story of hope.
